The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) promises to change the perception of manufacturing in Lake County. The new innovative, modern space was built to supply Lake County with a high-tech, high-wage workforce in the new, cleaner and brighter manufacturing space. 31% of the county’s economy is supported by manufacturing, so we know that the ATC will be have a huge impact.
Last week we welcomed IMA President and CEO Mark Denzler, Senator Adriane Johnson, Senator Craig Wilcox, Senator Melinda Bush, State Representative Daniel Didech, Ali O’Brien, VP of Community & Workforce Partnerships for the College of Lake County, and Kevin Considine, President & CEO of Lake County Partners to tour the ATC in Gurnee as part of the IMA's statewide “Manufacturing Matters” tour highlighting the economic impact of manufacturing in Illinois.
